Privacy notice
Plain-language version. This describes what EpicMe collects, who processes it, and your rights.
What we collect
The answers you give during intake (family, schooling, career, decision scenarios, communication style), any documents you upload or paste (CV, peer evaluations, writing samples, platform exports, and anything you import from another AI-twin service via "Bring your clone"), and — only if you consent — findings from public web research about you. We also log the questions asked of your droid via its API so you can see how it's used.
Who processes your data
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage. Your data lives here.
- Anthropic (Claude)— builds your profile and powers your droid. Your intake, documents, and research findings are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the profile and answer queries. Under Anthropic's commercial terms this data is not used to train their models; it is retained for up to ~30 days for safety monitoring, then deleted.
- Vercel — hosts the application.
Web research (opt-in)
If you tick the research consent, EpicMe searches the public web for you and reads what it finds. You review every finding before it counts ("Is this you?"). You can leave this off and we build from your answers alone.
How long we keep it
Your droid and its data persist until you delete them. Question logs from the droid API are kept for 90 days, unreviewed web-research findings for 60 days, and abandoned sign-ups that never verify an email are removed after 30 days.
Your rights
- Delete everything, any time— the "Delete my droid" button on your dashboard erases your droid, all answers, uploaded files, research findings, profiles, query logs, and your account. This is immediate and irreversible.
- Export your data — download a full JSON copy from your dashboard.
- Access & correction — everything is visible on your dashboard, and the test chat lets you correct your droid.
Improving the system (opt-in)
If you opt in, EpicMe uses anonymized, aggregate patterns from intake — for example, the average gap between how people rate themselves and how they actually behave — to make future droids more accurate. This never includes your answers, identity, opinions, or any individual data, and nothing from your droid reaches anyone else's. Toggle it off any time on your dashboard.
Data about other people
Some intake questions ask about family, mentors, or colleagues, and you may paste evaluations others wrote. Please share only what you're comfortable sharing; provide others' contact details only with their agreement. When you delete your droid, this is removed too.
